Darlien C. Breeze, Las Vegas resident for 15 years, is a California native. MINI TALES is her first collection of short stories, self published in July 2005. Darlien is also the author of Import/Export and You as a text book for classes she taught at the Community College of Southern Nevada and Small Pony, the story of a Navajo boy who must decide between his world and the world of the white man.  He resolves the issue by becoming a college trained Indian Agent.  Darlien's background includes twenty years as a classroom teacher, ten years as a real estate agent, and seven years as the owner of an import/export company.

Caprice Thurlow, Writer, Humor Essays

Caprice Thurlow writes humor essays and is frequently published in the Lifestyles 50+ newspaper as well as two websites: www.awesomemomsnetwork.com, and www.MRANracing.com. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology at Arizona State University and holds her certification as a Counselor, as well.  After a summer at home with her children, she decided to put her writing to the test and entered a contest with Cartoon Network. Five weeks later, she received her winning prize of a dozen plush ("clucking") chickens, and an offer to submit more stories for their launch of  Tickle U cartoons. The non edible chickens did not feed the family, but they sparked her desire to write once again.  Her two young childr en and captivatingly funny husband continue to aid her passion, providing her with endless "material" on a daily basis.  Her hope is to write a personal column, and compile essays for her book, titled: Married to the Material. Morgan St. James has written many published magazine articles related to interior design, human-interest stories, travel and selected business topics as well as earning recognition for two Writer’s Digest Feature Article submissions. She is a member of Sisters in Crime and Henderson Writer’s Group. Morgan and her sister Phyllice are currently writing a series of cozy mysteries about The Silver Sisters, identical twins with a nose for sleuthing. More information about the Silver Sisters Mysteries can be found at www.silversistersmysteries.com. Also in the works is a “woman in jeopardy” mystery novel with the working title of DANGEROUS DANCE. This is a work of fiction loosely based upon some actual events.

Morgan St. James, Author

Jo Wilkins is the founder and president of the Henderson Writers' Group, as well as the driving force behind the group's successful writer's conferences. Since her early school days, Jo has fed her insatiable hunger for science related material. An avid reader of Science Fiction, Isaac Asimov, and C.J Cherryh are among her favorite authors, she enjoys incorporating what she reads in science journals and what she's learned in college classes into her writing. Jo is an award winning poet and co-author of the Tyranny series, which currently includes Tyranny's Outpost and Tyranny's Prisoner. In addition to the Tyranny series, she is developing a murder mystery based loosely on personal experiences. Jo has spent her working years in Executive Assistant and management positions and is a co-founder of Mystic Publishers, a company steeped in a philosophy rich in customer satisfaction, author-centered processes, tips for success (at no cost) and integrity. When not writing, Jo tinkers inside computers and is always available to help her friends maintain their own. She is the mother of six and has resided in Nevada for the past twenty-two years.

After a teaching career in suburbia, Roger developed a nostalgia for the rural Minnesota setting of his childhood and adolescent years.  Away to college, was his excuse to escape as a young man and back to his origins, is an effort to endear himself to the people who helped mold his personality.  The characters and their roles in his fictional Minnesota setting were created from the attitudes, values and foibles he has learned to cherish and respect. Roger holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin and did post graduate work at Pepperdine University in California, Nova University in Florida, Fordham University in New York, and the University of Texas, El Paso.  He taught high school English in Minnesota and Wisconsin and education courses at United States International University in San Diego.  He earned a Doctor of Arts degree from East Coast University in Florida. Roger Storkamp, Author

 Sid Goodman recently retired to Las Vegas after 40 plus years in the aerospace and high-tech Plastics fields. He taught graduate courses on Plastics at the University of Southern California for over 25 years and is listed in Who's Who in Plastics & Polymers. Sid has published three major reference texts -- Plastics Materials and Processes and two editions of Handbook of Thermoset Resins,  "Plastics Processes," in the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science  & Technology, as well as numerous technical articles. He has extensive experience working with technical publishers, editors and contributors. Sid is now focusing on writing short stories, memoirs and other fiction.

Fred Rayworth, pictured here with his home built telescope on Astronomy Day, 2004, is the author of 9 novels, the first, science fiction, the second, horror, six action/adventure, and one fantasy.  Fred has also written over a dozen short stories. During his 24-year Air Force career, he lived in Spain and Turkey . Living overseas gave him insight into other cultures and he uses that perspective in his writing. His technical background plays a role by pushing the envelope between present technology and the not too distant future. He earned a bachelor's degree in adult education and a dual master's degree in human resource development and computer resource management. As a technical writer, he published 220 preventive maintenance manuals for BTR Sealing Systems in Oklahoma . While living in Europe , he co-created and edited the Pagan Military Network newsletter from 1985 to 1988. He saw his short horror story, "The House," published in the anthology, Between the Pages, 2003, and another short horror story, "The Walk Home," published in the Henderson Writer’s Group story collection, Writer’s BlocRayworth1969@hotmail.com.

Leslie Hoffman, Writer, Editor, Publisher

Leslie Hoffman is a writer, freelance editor of fiction and non-fiction, and co-founder of Laudably Tarnished, a poetry workshop. Her poems, short stories, essays, and articles have been published in magazines, newspapers, anthologies, and on the web. Leslie's eclectic interests have also manifested into careers as a civil engineering technician, victim advocate, and photographer – "Hacienda Bridge" photo featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2002.
